These cardboard cherry blossom Easter eggs are absolutely beautiful! One of those ideas that just kind of works out!!

We have been meaning to print cherry blossoms with a bottle for a while. It is such an easy technique and it creates the most beautiful little blossoms.

We have enjoyed making cherry trees in the past. Once we created a tree by blowing runny paint across the paper.

Another time we created a lovely tree with Q-tips from a printable tree we created – it is super easy!

This time we used some old boxes, paint & brush and an empty water bottle!

We use this acrylic paint, you can however use any paint you wish.

How to make your own Cherry Blossom Easter eggs

First, cut out your cardboard into egg shapes. You can draw your egg freehand or use a template. This Easter egg idea has a free egg template to download if you like.

Once your eggs have been cut out you can start painting! I started with the cherry tree branches. I mixed a little white with brown and pink and came to this greyish pinkish color.

Once the branches were dry I painted on the sweet little cherry blossoms by dipping the base of my empty water bottle into pink and white paint and printing directly onto the egg.

Super easy and absolutely beautiful!

If you like flowers in the springtime, here are some other ideas I think you will enjoy!
