This easy chocolate play dough recipe is no-cook and will have your little one playing with chocolate-scented dough in no time!
The chocolate dough…
Such a wonderful alternative to the other play dough that we make, not as soft, but it was rich and dense and it smelled wonderful!!
We cut out some chocolate biscuits that we are attempting to dry and used it to make some super chocolate hearts! A cocktail muddler makes a great textured play dough tool.
Here is the easy chocolate play dough recipe, it’s no-cook so you can make it in a few minutes!
- 1 cup plain flour
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup table salt
- 2 Tbsp vegetable oil – I used Sunflower Oil
- 1 cup of boiling water + another 1/2 a cup to add in little bits…
Add the dry ingredients and give them a good mix and then go in with the boiling water and oil. Add the water until you get a slightly crumbly consistency and then knead the dough well.
At this point you can smell the chocolate!!
WARNING: the chocolate comes off onto your work surface and your hands. It washes off in a second, so nothing to worry about, but this is not a “clean” dough, I’d avoid white clothing…
