Printing with Oranges and Apples is a great simple activity!
The prints made from an orange and apple look fantastic – especially the orange, it looks like ‘real design work!’
We used both white and black card to print on, and used neon paints – which come up so beautifully on the black!
I cut the orange in half the day before and popped it into the oven after we had finished cooking (the oven was off and cooling down) – this dried it out a little – making the prints even more detailed!
And then – still in our pj’s – we printed!
I gave Emma a fork for the apple as it kept on slipping out her hand – this gave her a good grip to print print…
The neon paint looked great! (almost like an x ray!)
Our next project will definitely be to do this with fabric paint!
