This wonderful popsicle stick mermaid is a wonderful weekend craft activity! I do enjoy a bit of glitter and shiny – and this is the perfect answer to all that!!!!
This craft doubles up as a toy once they are made. Something your children can play with. These mermaids will also make wonderful puppets, all you need is an under the sea puppet theatre!

Popsicle Stick Mermaid Materials
- Popsicle sticks or jumbo craft sticks like these
- Markers or Paint
- Decorations – like these shiny jewels!!
- Glitter Glue or Glitter & Glue
- Cardboard to make the tail and the hair. You could also make hair with wool or string.

I have created 4 different tails in two sizes. Some popsicle sticks are bigger than others! Your choice!
Your imagination can now go crazy!
Cut out your mermaid tail and stick it onto the back of the popsicle stick and then go ahead and create the rest of your mermaid!
Juliette used cardboard to make her mermaid’s hair – you can also use wool or string.
Add a shiny tail with glitter glue or with glue and glitter!! This is the best part!!
