Today we walked the rainbow!
So easy to set up and we had so much fun!
Given the chance Emma would have walked all morning!
This is one of those art activities I love as the children are required to move their entire bodies!
We painted rainbow with watermelon rinds and decided that we must use our feet next…
Rainbow Walking Materials:
Non Toxic Paint
A loooooong roll of paper! The longer the better!!!
Something to squeeze lines of paint into – I used a baking tin
2 cute little feet!!
I squeezed paint in lines into a baking tray, and then we stepped stepped and walked walked…
and walked…
and walked…
and walked…
The results look fabulous and are hanging in the stairway drying!
It was a little difficult to find a spot long enough for this to dry – we have cats so keeping it on the floor would just add to the footprints – and I am not sure our feline companions would love that…
Now the BIG question is where to put them up?
I get so sentimental about hand and footprints! I might just have to find a permanent spot to hang these!!
UPDATE: we did this again with fabric paint and a big sheet of fabric! From that we made a footprint walked apron for Granny!!
